About Us

Meet the Brothers

We’re Cody and Sawyer Thompson, and we grew up right here in western South Dakota—learning the land, the game, and the craft in the same places you’ll be hunting alongside us today. As kids, we played every sport and tried just about every hobby imaginable, but one thing always stood above the rest: hunting. It wasn’t just a season for us, it was a year-round obsession, always planning the next hunt and the next adventure.

After high school, Cody spent a couple of years in college before taking a job with a local outfitter, where he learned the ins and outs of guiding hunts and managing ground the right way. Before long, he convinced Sawyer to skip college and join him full time in the field. After years of working together and gaining hands-on experience, we knew it was time to start our own operation.

Our goal is simple: to offer some of the best big game hunting you’ll find anywhere in the country, while sharing the same experiences we grew up with here in western South Dakota. Above all, we want every hunter who joins us to leave with an unforgettable memory—and a trophy of their own.

Meet the Dogs

When you hunt with us, you’ll also be hunting alongside Doc and Dozer. Doc is our American Black Lab, and Dozer is a field-bred Golden Retriever. These dogs aren’t just along for the ride, they’re a key part of how we hunt and how our days run.

Both dogs are well trained, hard-charging bird dogs with a strong drive and no quit. They’ll go all day in the field and still be ready for more. Whether it’s tracking, flushing, or retrieving, they do their jobs with purpose and consistency.

Doc and Dozer aren’t kennel ornaments or background props. They’re working dogs, plain and simple. Part of our daily routine and part of every successful hunt. Out here, they pull their weight, and they’re treated exactly how they’ve earned it: as trusted hunting partners.
